About me

From the Runway to Slow Fashion

Fashion has always been part of my life.

After winning Belgium's Next Top Model in 2008, I spent nearly a decade working in editorial, commercial, and runway fashion. My career took me around the world, including six years living in South Africa, before my husband and I settled in Connecticut, where we're now raising our two children.

Working in fashion taught me to appreciate what truly makes clothing special: exceptional tailoring, quality craftsmanship, natural fabrics, and timeless design. It also changed the way I shop.

Instead of chasing trends, I began building a wardrobe around pieces made to last.

That's what inspired Vintage By Virginie.

I curate beautiful vintage and preloved fashion that celebrates quality over quantity and supports a more circular approach to fashion. I believe many of the best garments have already been made, and by giving them a second life, we can create wardrobes that are both timeless and more sustainable.

My mission is simple: to inspire women to buy less, choose better, and discover the beauty of well-made clothing that stands the test of time.

Because great style never goes out of fashion.
